This conversation is just beginning, and this post in unfinished. Though it has been published as it is connected to another post 🙂
ScreamFreely is financially transparent not just because it is the right thing to do, but because the structure allows us also be a tool for teaching others financial skills.
Paired with these skills is responsibility; now more than ever.
Our instructors work virtually, so as to remove their transportation cost.
Working remotely has the added benefit being a more relaxing environment than others.
We can pay our workers less for this luxury.
And we limit the amount of time that they can work.
Because we want them to leave after 18 to 24 months.
We want our workers to have enough money to live comfortably, so that they might be better enabled to build and pursue their own dreams.
If we ask them to work 40 or 50 hours per week, this drains one of energy to pursue other endeavors.
So working full-time at ScreamFreely means a solid 30 hours per week.
We will continue to run skeleton crews, with the support of community coders.
We have two directors, one regards technical matters, the other organizational matters.
Besides these positions are a cadre of instructors, who also work as system maintainers.
In a manner, instructors are able to pay for the their own work by teaching classes; which the organizational side will organize.
Regarding application variants, we are also building an application specifically for organizational use.
This is built around the personal application we have available for Android and iOS devices.
We also have a line of apparel we will continue to build at TeeSpring.com/ScreamFreely and TeeSpring.com/MnActivist.
