"We will fight them with Love and not Rage." I have to admit, I'm a huge Dalia fan and am usually that jackass in the back dancing, laughing or waving his lighter around. And so, would have to describe Treetops & Telephone Wires as an autumn leaf in the breeze - floating toward a stream that'll take it to the river, finally carrying it to the ocean (or a landfill?): an exceptional portrait of an everyday occurance. Hmm, yes, rather froofy if I don't say so myself, though if you'd allow me a moment to explain.
I was really hoping to take this following review really seriously. Be the honest critic, capable of saying this or that stood out here or there as points of growth, a good record - but needing this or that for completion. Although I've never done anything more than words, ya know, act like I really had an authority: great work man, can't wait to hear what's next. But as Ecid said - 'You say you're gon' do big things? Say your gonna be a big big star? Say you gonna make alotta moves? Rule #1 don't forget who you are.' - Me? I'm a fan of that which helps me be a better person.

We honor the commitment that each of you have shown to KFAI, and the various skills and talents that you share with the station.
It is in keeping with that commitment that we voice grave concerns about station operation, one example being the way the program grid evaluation process was initiated, communicated, and executed. This and the other examples that follow demand engagement of all stakeholders at KFAI - board, staff, listeners, members, and volunteers.
Canin Carlos has finally done something he thinks he can be really proud of; and he did it all himself. It is a book of poetry. Culled from writings summoned most often in the moonlit hours over the past three years it is the exploration of a demonangel sowed over years of isolation amidst beautiful people. It is an awakening, a dream, an ode, a letter to his friends and enemies = wishing we could learn to see the beauty and strength of our diversity and possibility at every moment and turn of the road.
So been traveling around a bit lately. Gary's is slowly but surely finding his house getting built, more pictures to come. While 2601 has also seen a new addition by local artist Mark Rivard! The largest and most glaring issue at hand was Gary's inability to get a loan for a dome home despite a complete funding package. This being a topic of conversation for elsewhere - as there is not much of a precendent for dome-homes, obtaining a loan is apparently more difficult than one might imagine.
Ron Engen and the Ramblin' Ranch Gang are helpin' Gary rebuild on the existing foundation. After months of frustration, it took a glance around from Ron to start what needed to get rollin'. Step 1, demolition:
