With the advent of an ailing housing market SF Artist Gary Pruitt felt behooved to purchase a house. The hope was to rehabilitate a house and property for a reasonable price. Though after demolishing small portions it was quickly discerned that it was going to cost much more money and time than expected to fix all that was structurally unsafe about the house. Built in the late 1800's originally, the dwelling has seen a few additions since. As is perhaps a similiar scenario with many houses on the market today - these additions are less than livable (as some of the following pictures illustrate).

The largest and most glaring issue at hand was Gary's inability to get a loan for a dome home despite a complete funding package. This being a topic of conversation for elsewhere - as there is not much of a precendent for dome-homes, obtaining a loan is apparently more difficult than one might imagine.
Ron Engen and the Ramblin' Ranch Gang are helpin' Gary rebuild on the existing foundation. After months of frustration, it took a glance around from Ron to start what needed to get rollin'. Step 1, demolition:

Gary Pruitt is a songwriter who underscores thought with humor. Fronting the band 2 & 1/2 Brains, which comprises various people on any given night. Topics some might call sacred, Gary & Co. prefer to view as proper fodder. With songs such as 'Sunday Morning Preacher', 'Fuck Monday' and 'Cleveland' Gary manages to offend most people's sensibilities. While others such as 'Bugz', 'Decisions' or 'Paradise' decisively endear him to what ever audience he might find himself before.

Ron, Joann and Ryan... thank you for inviting us to be a part of this, and for the hospitality you showed us during our visit. The atmosphere was warm, the food was delicious, and the experience was wonderful. I've listened to the song (only about a hundred times), and it sounds better each and every time. I can't wait to hear what Ryan does to it in the mix.
To the Brains... to have a tribe, a family, a band. You can call yourself a singer. or a song-writer, but if no one is listening, are you really? Without people to play with, does it really mean anything? Aren't deep, philosophical questions just a bunch of crap? I know this much; if it's true your life flashes in front of your eyes when you die, I hope it's yesterday I see. Ramblin' Ranch, thank you for letting me be part of the good work you do. To any and all of you who have been to see me play, thank you especially, 'cause without you none of it happens. And finally, thanks to the Brains, all and sundry of you... no life that entails what we've been doing can ever be called wasted. Thanks, brothers.
Last but certainly not least; Thanks to all of you who come to listen. Without you, none of this happens.
