Security on Chrome & Firefox

HTTPS EveryWhere – Anyone had their Facebook profile hacked into? Remember when people suggested you always make sure the URL says 'https' - the 's' stood for secure. Welp now you don't have to know or remember. HTTPS Everywhere makes sure that each and everysite you enter is through a securre network - further strengthening the security of your information and identity.

Better Privacy – This add-on goes to work after you exit Firefox. Sometimes cookies get left by websites - that are embedded into images or other files downloaded for use by the website visited. Better Privacy waits for these strings (FlashCookies) to dangle after one exits the program and then erases the remants. This makes it considerably more difficult for websites that would wish to mine one's internet usage for data.

Ghostery – To me is the most intriguing add-on of all. Ghostery tells you who is trying to access your data, for each and every web site you visit. Realizing the redundency of just telling you who is trying to mine your data, without giving also the ability to block these attacks - the creators of Ghostery have granted the user this ability!

In Chome's defense - I have found a few Extentions that do well to make using the program safer.

First there is Click&Clean. Described as a one button search and destroy, it does remove FlashCookies (LSO's). Apparently one can also watch YouTube offline with this mechanism?

Anywho, there is also a FaceBook Secure extention one can get as well. This will make sure each and everytime one signs into FaceBook, it is through a secure (https) connection.
